practically, really, truly

这三个词的共同意思是“事实上”“实际上”,都用于对事物真实性的评价。truly和really有时可以互换。其区别是：

truly强调事物的真实性,表示事物是“真实的,正确的,有道理的”; really强调所述与事实相符,即“事实就是如此”; practically则指与事实相差无几,语气最弱。例如:

This is a really〔truly〕 beautiful picture.这确实是一张很美的画。

There was a truly beautiful view from the window.窗外景观确实美极了。

He had practically finished his meal when I arrived.我到达时他差不多吃完饭了。
