Do not confuseactual andreal. You useactual to emphasize that what you are referring to is real or genuine, or to contrast different aspects of something. You do not say that something 'is actual'. Note also thatactual is not used to refer to something which is happening now, at the present time. For this meaning, you need to use adjectives such ascurrent orpresent.
